Explanation:
In the school context, poor communication skills may lead to students learning the concept incorrectly, resulting in the wrong application of concept or theory. Often, it is required for students to work in teams. Thus effective communication would allow students to pass information and received information from one another as intended, no information being interpreted wrongly or else it could lead to frustrations and arguments. Thus student's communication skills may affect his or her own learning process by being able to fully understand classes' content and able to communicate well with peers.

Furthermore, in their future careers, engineers would often have to deal with people from a wide span of industries such as business specialists, contractors and public officials. Thus it is critical for them to be able to converse with their skillfully in order for both parties to interact smoothly. That is by breaking things into layman terms to minimise doubts and incoherent information.

Consistency in communication plays an important role as while because different people may adopt a different approach on how they portray a vision. It is therefore important to understand one’s style and the ability to translate for others to comprehend, regardless of occupations - students or engineers.
